Motor Claims Handling Guidelines


Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing Noor Takaful for your auto takaful (insurance). In the unlikely event of a claim, please take a moment to review the below mentioned guidelines, which will help you register your claim with us and will enable us to serve you in a timely manner.

Once you are in possession of a Police Report for your accident, please carefully go through your certificate document to ascertain the following :

  • whether the repair facility is inside Agency / Dealer’s Workshop OR Non-Agency Garage
  • the compulsory excess / deductible amount which you may have to pay in case of a non-recoverable claim (please note in some cases an additional excess may also apply depending on circumstances such as under age driver etc.)

If you have AGENCY REPAIR facility in your certificate, you need not contact us, simply take your vehicle straight to the respective dealer’s workshop and submit to them the following documents who will then invite our surveyor to inspect your damaged vehicle:

  • Police Report (Original)
  • Registration Card of your vehicle (a clear Copy only - of both sides)
  • Driver's License of the person driving the vehicle at the time of accident (a clear Copy only)
  • Claims Form

* in certain circumstances, additional documents may be required such as a Court Judgment (in the event of a court case) etc.

The same set of documents will be required in case of non-agency repairs too.

If you have NON-AGENCY REPAIR facility in your certificate, simply call us on 04 4268268 to get our office location. We are located on Sheikh Zayed Road, adjacent to Prime Medical Centre, in between Nissan & Volkswagen showrooms right in front of Noor Islamic Bank Metro Station. You must bring in your vehicle (unless it is not in a drivable condition) for our inspection between 1 pm and 4:30 pm (Sunday through to Thursday), along with the documentation as mentioned above for assessment of damages / repairs. Your vehicle will be surveyed by our representative in the presence of approved workshops on our panel following which you will be assigned a workshop to take your vehicle to for repairs.

In case your vehicle is not in drivable condition due to accident, please let us know and we shall be happy to assist you with regard to transportation of your vehicle to one of the workshops on our panel.
