- 1. How do I get a refund?
For any refund processing questions or refund related issues please feel free to contact us via email, phone, or in person. At a minimum, please submit the following information when you submit your refund request:
- Policy number, date, and contribution paid
- Your contact information and relation to subject insured
- Explanation of reason for refund
- Any relevant supporting documents
Please note that refunds for all products are subject to the specific terms and conditions of your takaful certificate.

Please allow 15 to 30 business days to process the refund.

- 2. Can I cancel my motor takaful cover at any time and get a refund?
The vehicle owner must ensure that takaful or insurance cover is valid as long as the motor registration is valid. To cancel the cover, adequate documentation must be presented, including but not limited to proof of canceled registration, presentation of alternative tafakul / insurance cover, and traffic department’s transfer of ownership documents. The some contribution may be refunded after deducting applicable fees and current contribution charges due. Please see our cancellation procedures, terms, and conditions in our motor takaful handbook.
All refunds for online purchases will be processed within 15 to 30 working days and the refund will be paid to the Participant's credit card. The refund cannot be made in any other form of payment (i.e. cash or cheque.)
- 3. Can I cancel my travel takaful cover at any time and get a refund?
Generally, once the contribution has been paid, the travel takaful certificate cannot be cancelled. Only on an exceptional and valid basis, can a Participant qualify for a refund at one of our customer service locations. The Participant must bring along the original certificate, passport, and other supporting documentation as detailed in the travel takaful terms and conditions.
Refunds for online participation, if any, will be processed within 15 to 30 working days and the refund will be paid to the Participant's credit card. The refund cannot be made in any other form of payment (i.e. cash or cheque.)
